Hi my name is Marilyn, and in case you’re wondering the name Practising Purple is taken from the famous poem by Jenny Joseph ‘When I am old I will wear Purple’.

For me the poem is about all the far off and exciting things that she will do once she is older and can stop worrying what other people think. My message is, don’t wait, start practicing now by having the confidence and self belief to go after what you want. OK, perhaps not the spitting or swearing in the street!!

I truly believe we are all born with all the resources and abilities needed to achieve the future we want for ourselves, but sometimes we may need a little help and direction and this is where Cognitive Hypnotherapy can help.
